11/20/2023 Week 18 - Bro. Barry is a King!
Hey everyone,
I'm gonna keep this one shorter so it's not a serious commitment for people trying to read it (and I don't have much to talk about).
Anyway, this week we had ALL of our lessons fall through (which is sub-optimal) so we spent a sizeable chunk of time waiting for people to show up who never did. 🫠
However, I did have exchanges this week with the Zone Leaders and they had me help teach a lesson to a really nice old lady named Doris who had just been baptized a couple days prior. Her lesson was awesome and she said a lot of funny things (mostly just not doctrine at all) but she has a very strong testimony which is awesome. Exchanges other than that went good, we got fed by a member in their ward and he is awesome. Bro Johannson fed us, the ZL's, and the French Elders and it was awesome (and a lot of missionaries).
We also went to the Barry's house this week and that is always a blast. The Barry's are members but we always come over at some point in the week just to talk to them because they are super funny and always have a great story to tell! This week Bro Barry was talking about his time in prison and his conversion to the Church and how he's trying to help guide his kids away from the things that have put them in jail and get them back on the straight and narrow path (Bro Barry is a legend).
The only other thing I have to report is that someone in the Ward here has offered to feed us Thanksgiving dinner, so we will not be starving on Thanksgiving!
Spiritual Thought:
Well, it's Thanksgiving soon so my spiritual thought for today is about gratitude! Do it. Be grateful. Make a list of what you are grateful for, it will make you happier and give you more peace!
Adios,
Elder Hansen
