11/11/2024 - Week 69 - "Albino people are just real life shinies!" - Elder Kirkham
This week was pretty cool!
We had 11 friends come to church!
Our two families we are working with are progressing well!
We had exchanges with the Middletown Elders and we got hot chocolate and donuts from the family we taught!
We also had interviews with President Rasmussen which were good as always, and also ran long (as always) but they made us Lunch so it was all great!
We had a great member meal with Hermano Montero who made some Venezuelan dumpling things which were so incredibly amazing, I couldn't believe it.
We met a family of Venezuelans and had a great first lesson, but they've been sick ever since, so thats not super chill.
We got invited to the birthday party of one of the kids in the ward, but we were the only ones who showed up on time so everyone trickled in while we had already eaten. We got to see a lot of inactive members though and talk with them a bit, so it was a good time overall!
We also got asked to help out with the baptism of one of the 8-year-olds in the branch! Its always awesome to see someone make a covenant with God!
I also finished Duolingo this week for Spanish (aka getting to daily refresh)!
Not much other than that to report!
Transfers are next week so we'll see if I stay in Miami River for transfer no. 5!
Spiritual Thought:
Acts 14:15
"We ... preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:"
Repentance is a good thing! Turn from the vain things of life and turn to the living God!
Elder Hansen out!
