1/13/2025 - Week 78 - Driving in the snow is hard (or at least you'd think that in Cinci)
This week was pretty good! We still have a lot of snow, but eventually the roads got cleared off enough for people to start driving again.
We helped out a lot of latinos whose cars were stuck in the snow (some considerably more stuck than others, we were helping one guy with his camioneta -- work truck -- for half an hour)
We didn't have a lot of lessons sadly this week, but we did have one with our friend David which was a little chaotic because there's about 16 people in their apartment and we also helped him with his flat tire. But it was good and they gave us a Venezuelan cookie and fried shrimp.
We also taught Albeiro about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and he was down to get baptized which is awesome! He also came to our English class and to church!
Speaking of church, we had 11 friends pull up on Sunday! We almost ran out of our translating equipment! It was awesome, but translating is tiring to do. Still a major win overall.
We also had exchanges with the Miami River Elders (where I was before) and we got dinner with a family who was upset (not really but kinda) with me because I didn't stop by to say goodbye when I got transferred (totally my bad). But they made some amazing carne asada tacos and I put down 9 of them (because Elder Montie and I were having a competition and neither of is could do more than 9)
Basically that's all I got.
Spiritual thought:
I think I've talked about this before, but 2 Nephi 31 is such an amazing message for people who want to follow Christ but aren't too sure how! It's super plain (literally talks about it) about what we can do to follow Him and why we should do it! If you know someone who is searching for God or trying to Follow Chrisr more closely, send 2 Nephi 31 to them and talk to them about it!
Love y'all
Parker
