12/16/2024 - Week 74 - Anybody like a baptism?

Howdy guys! How are y'all doing?

This week was pretty crazy with just a lot that happened.

We had exchanges with the Cincinnati Elders on Tuesday and basically we we're knocking doors all day and while I was with Subero, I got yelled at by 2 different brothas for pretty much no reason (normal Cinci after dark). I also gave Subero a nice fade and I fully buzzed Elder Kofoed's hair (his companion).

The next day we had our multi zone Christmas party/Zone Conference which was super good and I'm happy I got to see some of my friends in the English Zones!
Notable Events:
-Elder Gardiner slammed 10 pancakes in 1min 19sec (I think, it was fast) in the pancake eating competition
-we had a talent show which included some very interesting talents (I'm leaving that to interpretation)
- there was a sister missionary Rap-Battle

We also were able to get our friend Eva, who is on date to be baptized next Sunday, interview for Baptism and she passed!!! We got all the info lined up and it's looking like she's probably gonna be the person who helps us surpass our mission's goal for Baptisms!

We had a crazy long lesson with our friend Cynthia where we taught her the whole plan of Salvation and a bunch of commandments! I also drew out a little drawing of the Plan as we taught it and at the end of the lesson I signed it and told her to keep it because it might be valuable someday (she thought it was hilarious).

We had some really cool contacts throughout the week, but the highlight for sure was the 2 baptisms for the other Elders in our branch!
On Saturday our good friends José and Horacio were baptized and confirmed members of the church! I was lucky enough to play the piano for the baptism (all those years of Piano lessons paid off mom!). The actual Baptism went smoothly (which is a surprise because Jose is 92 years old)!

On Sunday, we bad 7 friends at church with was awesome! I also had our Ward Mission Leaders son crawl between my legs to play on his dad's phone half-way through sacrament meeting so that was interesting.

Thats all I got for yall. Stay safe.

Spiritual thought:
The Christmas Season is a great time to invite your friends and family to come to church with you! And that basically what I've been doing everyday for the last year and half-ish is inviting people to church! I know it can be a little scary sometimes, but I invite all of you to make an effort to invite someone to church who needs it right now.
And if you aren't going to church right now, good news! There's church this Sunday probably within a 5 minute drive of your house!

Love you all! Send me an email! I'd love to hear from you!
-Parker

All of the pics a pretty straightforward other than the chair. If you look closely you can see the Cinci combo (a forcefully disabled smoke alarm and an ashtray)
