12/30/2024 - Week 76 - Knock knock, it's 2025
This week was pretty awesome guys!
Of course we had Christmas this past week and the English Ward our group is attached to came in clutch and we had a member dinner Christmas Eve as well as a Christmas brunch and dinner with members as well (and we played a ton of board games with them!)
We also got tamales twice and some Nicaraguan French Toast during our two lessons on Christmas Eve so that was pretty awesome too.
Over the course of the last few days, we have searched probably over 20 different apartment complexes looking for Latinos that might live in them and most of them unfortunately did not.
We did have an amazing experience where we knocked on the door of an old friend of the English Elders here right after he prayed for a sign from God on what he should do because he was in some really tough times. He was super grateful and we helped him with some of his questions about Life and Death, he also came to church on Sunday!
Speaking of church, our unofficial group had 7 non member and 3 members come which was an amazing miracle and we got to teach them all the Restoration during 2nd hour!
That's basically all that happened this week! I hope y'all had a great Christmas!
Spiritual Thought: church was focused on Goal setting and I have a love/hate relationship with Goals. I know that they're good and that they help me to figure out where I need to improve, but I struggle to make them effectively. Something I loved from church was that we should stretch ourselves too thin trying to improve in every category at the same time, but we should work things out one thing at a time and soon we'll be able to improve in many different categories consecutively instead of tiring ourselves out trying to be perfect in everything!
Hasta luego, feliz nuevo año!
