5/20/2024 - Week 44 - Things Bee good
I really didn't do a whole ton this week, but still soooooo much happened!
I'm gonna try and keep this one short because frankly I do not have the time to go too into depth (that would make this an essay).
Anyways. We had exchanges this week and while we were on exchanges we made a new friend by following the Spirit (simple, right?) I had a feeling we needed to go to a certain gas station and then there was someone in the car next to us who had their window *almost* all the way up, but I still prossed them up and they are super chill! Super busy, but still interested in the Gospel (not a ton of people are interested around here ngl)
Anyways the highlights of this week was that our guy Zeke in Huber Heights passed his Baptismal interview so he's gonna be baptized on Saturday! I taught him on exchanges a couple times and was able to interview him as well!
My friend from South Sudan 🇸🇸 who I taught in Dayton got Baptized on Sunday and I got to go and say hi to the Ward there as well! Her sons might also be getting baptized soon as well and I taught them as well!
One of the weirdest moments of my mission happened this week on exchanges. We ran into a guy who I didn't recognize and he just said, "Hey Elders, this will be interesting for you" which is probably the worst thing someone can say to you as a missionary (especially saying Elders 😬)
Turns out dude is from the Church of Jesus Christ (not us) the LDS branch of followers of Sidney Rigdon and William Binkerton. We had a very interesting conversation and he even gave us their Book of Mormon (which is very similar but with no testimony of Joseph Smith, chapter headings, and it has a *very* different introduction and history). That was weird to say the least.
Anyways. That's it for this week! Tune in next time for hopefully a much more interesting one!
Adios
Parker
